Building a culture of repairing in Singapore
- THE PROBLEM
Tackling Singapore's "Buy-and-Throw" attitude through the concept of a maker space and national repair training programmes
- THE SOLUTION
Giving the public opportunities to learn hands-on how to repair their day-to-day use items from clothes to kitchen appliances through the concept of a maker space and a national repair training programmes.
- OUR ROLE
The monthly Repair Kopitiam event is a testament to SL2's on-ground implementation expertise and focus on proposing initiatives that serve the Public, Private and People. Our programmes, with support from the National Environment Agency, aims to positively impact Singapore's throwaway culture, while also serving as an active aging programmes.
HSBC - Learning & Development Training - Sustainability Skills Training
Facilitating a transition to sustainability
- THE PROBLEM
Helping SMEs make sense of the initiatives and schemes available as they transition to include sustainability in their business goals.
- THE SOLUTION
Organising and running a series of workshops covering trends, insights and tools to guide SMEs in their sustainability goals and entry submissions to the HSBC Living Business Sustainable Awards.
- OUR ROLE
Using our knowledge around sustainability issues, we came up with a comprehensive guide covering the environmental and social aspects of sustainability and provided use cases to demonstrate real examples and draw applicable learning points from it.

Facilitating a transition to sustainability in support of the GreenGov Plan.
- THE PROBLEM
In support of the GreenGov Plan to activate public officers to contribute actively to sustainability in Singapore. As the Environment Building houses the key agencies championing sustainability, it is an opportunity to showcase how they lead by example.
- THE SOLUTION
Community building fosters connections between individuals in the Environment Building and creates space for opportunities to engage in collective learning, open dialogue and camaraderie in service of sustainability.
- OUR ROLE
Using our knowledge around sustainability issues, we came up with a comprehensive guide covering the environmental and social aspects of sustainability and provided opportunities like Circularity Exchange Booths, Talks and Experiences, Sustainability Challenges & Skills Development Workshops.
