Founded in 2011, SL2 is headquartered in Singapore and operates on the innovative "Living Lab" concept. Giving the public opportunities to learn hands-on how to repair their day-to-day use items from clothes to kitchen appliances through the concept of a maker space and a national repair training programmes. - OUR ROLE
The monthly Repair Kopitiam event is a testament to SL2’s on-ground implementation expertise and focus on proposing initiatives that serve the Public, Private and People. Our programmes, with support from the National Environment Agency, aims to positively impact Singapore’s throwaway culture, while also serving as an active aging programmes.

Intel AI For Youth - Programme Design and Implementation
Facilitating a transition to sustainability
- THE PROBLEM In Southeast Asia, the early stages of AI adoption face challenges due to a lack of AI talent, making AI skills crucial for youth to remain competitive in the evolving global workforce.
- THE SOLUTION The increasing prevalence of no-code and low-code tools provided by AI education reduces the demand for extensive technical skills in development and business integration, creating an opportunity for focused upskilling among young individuals.
- OUR ROLE SL2 collaborates with Intel on the Intel® AI for Youth Express program, preparing young learners with essential AI skills. This initiative brings an industry-supported learning pathway to secondary schools, high schools, and junior colleges, offering students hands-on AI knowledge covering fundamentals, machine learning, ethics, and community problem-solving. Intel’s support enables accessibility through the Infocomm Media Club. Schools can choose between two tracks, Basic (34 Hours) and Apply (56 Hours), with flexible scheduling. This partnership ensures comprehensive AI education, readying students for the evolving world of AI.

- THE PROBLEM The Singapore Green Plan 2030 contrasts with the increasing pressure on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to embrace sustainability, presenting a challenge in guiding SMEs to integrate sustainability goals and practices and stay competitive in the evolving sustainability landscape.
- THE SOLUTION Empowering organisations by offering decision-makers the confidence, skills, and essential frameworks to initiate their sustainability initiatives, enabling them to set clear sustainability roadmaps.
- OUR ROLE Using our knowledge of sustainability issues, we equip Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with a solid understanding of sustainability concepts and provide frameworks for developing their sustainability agendas. Additionally, we support them in effectively communicating their sustainability practices and strategies to stakeholders and implementing steps to curate their sustainability initiatives, ensuring they stay competitive at local and regional levels. Our comprehensive “Transforming SMEs through Strategic Sustainable Development” program spans 40 hours across 9 sessions over 5 weeks, incorporating 3-4 site visits.
