Job Summary

SL2 is seeking a talented Producer/ Writer to implement communications and marketing plans, outreach strategies and create content for a variety of different initiatives and programs focused on Sustainability and Technology Innovation. The Producer/Writer must have exceptional writing, editing and content creation skills across a variety of formats and mediums including blogs, social media, case studies, website copy, reports and other formats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the principal content creator for program staff, assisting them with delivery of a variety of deadline-driven outputs
• Develop/execute communications plans that identify key messages, target audiences, strategies and multimedia tactics, working closely with program staff
• Develop and produce creative ways of presenting information, data, and other relevant materials for social media and other forms of distribution
• Serve as the go-to editor for a variety of materials and provide quick-turnaround comments and edits, including ability to thoroughly proofread
• Help manage and oversee digital media assets, including the website, blogs, LinkedIn and other social media accounts
• Track campaign metrics and prepare summaries on a regular basis
• Manage consultants and mentor social media teams and interns

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a producer, writer, or in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrated research and writing skills and a meticulous attention to detail
• A bright, self-starter capable of working independently with light supervision
• Superior editing and proofreading skills are a must
• Demonstrate self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Previous back-end social media management experience a bonus
• Interest and Industry experience in working on Sustainability or Technology projects preferred
