About The Course
This course aims to guide you to establish a solid foundation on sustainability and understand what that means for your organisation, as an SME. You will be able to adopt learnings from case studies, bring back immediate implementable steps to your organisation.
This half day programme is suitable for all professionals from entry-level to senior management. No prior knowledge on sustainability is required.
Courses Objective
- Build awareness and appreciation of sustainability
- Understand the fundamentals of climate change and the industry landscape
- Draw relations between ESG considerations in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
Course Outline
- Introduction to climate change – the Global and Local response
- Introduction to corporate sustainability, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
- Set context on the importance of sustainability and its impact through understanding the sustainability ecosystem
- Deepen and clarify the understanding of sustainability concepts
- Reviewing the impact and growth opportunities businesses have in-relation to local and region sustainability efforts through a SME business case

- An SGTech member is eligible for up to S$500 per pax per training programme.
- SGTech member can apply for the funding following the below steps:
- Please submit a Request for Support on Training on SGTech website here (see Item II, section 1, 2, and 3).
- Upon application approval by SGTech, you may register and make payment for the course with SL2.
- Upon completion of the training programme, please submit to SGTech: the proof of training completion form (see Item II, section 3) and proof of payment to SL2.
- SGTech will make the fund pay-out to you.
Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
